Obliviondoll: And at present, Galaxy 2.0 is STILL barely ready for beta, and definitely far from being ready to be forced on users in its current state. If you want that to stop, you can do so pretty easily. The only one being nonsensical here is you. And that picture hasn't changed meaningfully by the inclusion of a new sticky thread, nor does the addition of one more sticky thread make any difference to my point.Īnd at present, Galaxy 2.0 is STILL barely ready for beta, and definitely far from being ready to be forced on users in its current state. I mentioned them specifically to exclude them from the rest of the count I was making. They aren't the focus of any of what I was saying. It was to exclude them from the count of active non-sticky threads.

If you feel the urge to continue this nonsensical waste of tme - feel free to do so, I am out If you actually paid attention to my post, the reason for mentioning the sticky threads was pretty obvious. The part that you qouted also targets specifically the assesment of the op that G2 "is not even ready for beta", which it clearly was back then. But getting off from my experience with humankind beeing rather lazy with positive responses my assessment is that there is a very, very much bigger group of people out there for which G2 just works as they expect it to: install>play>uninstall.Īnd till now you not even tried to bring any evidence (or at least tried to guess at) that the number of posts (including even the teeny tiny amount of non-complaints) represents a significant part of G2s user base.īut again, if thats your view of this whole thing, thats fine by meĭerBesserwisser: This thread was created Feburso my comment has to be read in the context of that point in time - one of those "infamous" four sticky threads (still don't know what so special about them in the context of the point your trying to make) did not exist at that time and the one I created has all sorts of post, without the majority beeing critical about the state of G2, and those that are, also need to be seen in that context as G2 received several feature updates since then.

So thats why I think that there is a much bigger number of people (then that post here in the forum) that are very unhappy with G2 (bugs, forced upgrade, usability issues, missing features, etc.) but it works well enough for them not to take the effort. But I am out of things to tell you except repeating what I already told you: people need to be bothered to a certain extent before they take the effort to complain.

Imagine that you download a new gog game and you forgot to change accordingly the install directory.Obliviondoll: Back to the point though (and yes, I cut the rest of your text out here for brevity), what exactly did you think I was trying to prove? Because I literally quoted you saying that there would be complaints all over the forum if there were problems, and pointed to a forum that's full of complaints. I had imported "earth 2150: escape from blue planet" from c:games/earth2150 trilogy to c:games/earth2150 trilogy and it worked fine but i think that can be confusing and end up in a little mess. So you will have to uninstall it manually in order to not waste hd space. If you don't configure the client to "install" games in the same folder where your pre galaxy game is already installed when you import it you will have a copy of your "imported" game in the preconfigured install folder (i.e. You can't invite this user because you have blocked him.
